The Baltimore duo, Beach House, has been earning a lot of attention. The success of their album, Teen Dream, has brought them a larger fan base, a slot at Coachella, and an audience including Jigga and Beyonce. However, not all this attention is good attention; VW has been trying to get the track “Take Care” cleared for one of their adverts but was never successful. In turn, they did the next best thing and copied it. Check out this blatant rip off by a certain ad agency along with Beach House’s statement.
“The ad agency actively tried to license “Take Care” from us for weeks, to which we politely declined. People’s comments/anger should not be directed towards VW or us. It was the ad agency that made these moves. I hope this also clarifies to fans and non-fans just how “Take Care” and the vw ad song are related.”
May 19, 1976 – Kevin Garnett aka The Big Ticket was born in Greenville, South Carolina and is one of the most passionate, shit-talkin’, who can back it up hoopers in the NBA. He began playing ball in middle school, but really started beastin’ in high school. He earned National High School Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball. He decided to skip college and take his talents straight to the pro level. He entered the 95′ NBA Draft and was selected 5th by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was the heart and soul of the Tberwolves for twelve seasons but unfortunately went to play for the Celtics to join a legit championship contender which they accomplished in 08′ (BOO!). Garnett’s legacy encompasses an 08′ Defensive Player of the Year and an 04′ NBA MVP, 14-time All-Star. Even though he plays for the Celtics, you got to respect his passion and hunger for the game.#StillPurpleAndGoldAllDay

He began playing the guitar at age 14 and began writing music at 16. He continued his love, craft and “addiction” while in college at UC Santa Barbara (Central Coast stand up!) playing in a band called Soil. LaDonna Adrian Gaines, better known as the The Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, passed away this morning from a battle with cancer. Summer was born in Boston, Massachusetts and began singing as soon as she started talking. Her first time singing in front of an audience was at the age of ten at their family’s church. It was then where she felt that God’s plan for her was to be a famous singer/entertainer. God was right as always! Summer began her fame in the 70′s during the disco era and is the first artist to have three albums hit the number one spot on the Billboards consecutively! She has won five Grammys, along with having four singles take the number one position in less than two years! Some of these singles include the timeless tracks: “Last Dance,” “Bad Girls” and “Hot Stuff.” Her mezzo-soprano vocal range was infectious and her stage presence was unforgettable. She has left the earth only physically, but her voice, her music and her presence will forever live on…Sing in Peace Donna Summer…#F?€Kcancer!
