Mister Freedom is a vintage clothing store based in Los Angeles. They have a wide selection of vintage denim, accessories, and deadstock items. Their latest creation is the “Boro” Tie. The term “Boro” is Japanese, meaning patched up textiles. The “Boro” Tie is a mixture of antique Japanese textiles from Mister Freedom’s collection. The origins of the scraps go as far back as 1850. Some of the fabrics used are spun cotton, hemp, plaid and natural indigo. It is worn around the neck like a neck tie and comes equipped with a leather slider so you can adjust the fit for comfort. Each Boro Tie is handmade in Mister Freedom’s studio and retails for $229. Now this is what I call throwback!
