February 11, 1974 – Michael Eugene Archer, better known as D’Angelo, was born in Richmond, Virginia and began singing and playing the piano at the age of 3! He is considered one of the most influential artists during the neo-soul movement. Plus, he will always be remembered by the ladies, as the man who successfully shot a whole music video with only portraying himself shirtless.
February 11, 1979 – Brandy Rayana Norwood, better known as just Brandy, was born in McComb, Mississippi, raised in Carson, California and is the sister of Ray J and the cousin of Snoop Dogg. Brandy started singing at the early age of 2 with her father at their gospel church. She is a successful singer, producer and actor and has earned numerous awards for her work.
February 11, 1981 – Kelendria Rowland, better known as Kelly Rowland, was born in the ATL raised in the H-Town. That’s where she joined forces with Beyonce and the rest of the girls to form Girl’s Tyme which eventually became the worldwide phenom, Destiny’s Child. She is also a successful solo artist, selling over 4 million solo albums. Rowland also dabbles in acting and is a TV personality.
