April 22, 2004 – Patrick Daniel Tillman, better known as Pat Tillman, was shot and killed while serving our country in Afghanistan. Before joining the service, Tillman was a beast on the NFL playing field. He was drafted as a safety by the Arizona Cardinals in 98′ and was an All-Pro selection in 00′. After the 9/11 tragedy, Tillman was inspired and decided to sacrifice his football dreams to enlist into the Army in June of 2002. Now that’s the true meaning of serving your country.
