April 1st – Even though April Fools’ Day is not a national holiday, it is a day widely known all over the world for pulling pranks on people. It is said to have originated around 1392! Dang, we got jokesters from way back when! This day is a day of humor and foolishness, but some countries treat them differently. In places such as Australia, Canada, South America, New Zealand, UK and Cyprus, pranks are only pulled till’ noon time. If someone dares pull a prank after noon, they are called an April Fool. As for the United States and other countries, pranks are 24/7, so you better watch your back and tread cautiously or else your ass will be got! In Italy and France, there is a tradition where children will sneakily put paper fish on each other’s backs and yell “poisson d’avril!” or “pesce d’aprile” which means April Fish. So put your clever hats on and get to pranking! #SaranWrapOnTheToiletSeatNeverFails #GOTEM
