May 19, 1976 – Kevin Garnett aka The Big Ticket was born in Greenville, South Carolina and is one of the most passionate, shit-talkin’, who can back it up hoopers in the NBA. He began playing ball in middle school, but really started beastin’ in high school. He earned National High School Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball. He decided to skip college and take his talents straight to the pro level. He entered the 95′ NBA Draft and was selected 5th by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was the heart and soul of the Tberwolves for twelve seasons but unfortunately went to play for the Celtics to join a legit championship contender which they accomplished in 08′ (BOO!). Garnett’s legacy encompasses an 08′ Defensive Player of the Year and an 04′ NBA MVP, 14-time All-Star. Even though he plays for the Celtics, you got to respect his passion and hunger for the game. #StillPurpleAndGoldAllDay
Happy Birthday Kevin Garnett!
