July 7, 1940 – Richard Starkey, better known as Ringo Starr, was born in Liverpool in Lancashire, England and is the drummer of one of the most dominant and iconic bands of all-time, The Beatles. He replaced initial drummer, Pete Best and is credited for co-writing and doing vocals for numerous hits singles.
