August 25, 1958 – The very unique and creative Tim Burton was born in Burbank, California and is a film director/producer, artist and writer. Making films has always been a passion of his ever since he was a child, making short films in his backyard. Burton’s style is known to be dark, quirky and always visually stimulating. Some films that portray his style the most are films such as “Edward Scissorhands,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “9″ and “Alice in Wonderland.” He is also the genius behind “Batman” and “Planet of the Apes.” Look out for his upcoming film in October called “Frankenweenie,” which is a remake of his 84′ short film.
