August 2, 1939 – Wesley Earl Craven, better known as Wes Craven, was born in Cleveland, Ohio and is a writer, director, author and producer. He is creepy, but genius mastermind behind the classic, thrilling horror film, “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” Craven has also directed the fun to watch, suspenseful “Scream” movie series.
