One of Los Angeles’ Finest: Tupac Shakur

Sixteen years today, marks the death anniversary of the late, great Tupac Shakur. I can’t believe it’s been so long and yet he still thrives through music and in the speakers of those who know real hip hop. Not only was he at the forefront of hip hop, whether it be for the good or the bad; Tupac was also a revolutionary, pushing the boundaries in music, politics, media and humanity. He was the voice for the streets, the urban life and the oppressed. Although, his music caused controversy, he always kept it real and stayed true to himself and what he believed in. He was fueled by his passion and his vision. Tupac will always live as long as real music lives. And if it was up to Pac, there wouldn’t be any of this lame ass music on the radio that “raps” about money, cars and clothes! Hip hop is life and not materialistic! Sorry Pac, I went on a tangent, but may you rap in peace…
