Kendrick Lamar took home the award for Lyricist of the Year at this year’s BET hip-hop awards. As always, the category posed some stiff competition. He beat out J-Cole, Nas, Jay-Z and Kanye West, who all had stellar years themselves. Congrats to Kendrick for reppin the West Coast!!! The award show will air October 9th on BET. Also for those wondering about Kendrick’s shirt, the shirt was provided by designer Rhuigi Villasenor from the new brand RHUDE.
